Every year, La Dogana hosts Yoga retreats on it’s beautiful four acre estate. Combing the best of yoga and Italian activities gives guests a unique experience they will not forget. Just picture yourself starting your morning in downward dog in the rolling hills of Italy on a beautiful summer day. And after a day of adventure, ending the day with a wine tasting and an authentic Italian dinner overlooking those same hills. Come and see what else La Dogana can offer you on this amazing retreat.

The one week basic package includes daily yoga lessons, a wine tasting, olive oil tasting, pool access (280 ft), accommodation in our villas (shared or private), breakfasts, dinners, and shuttle transfers to and from Florence.

Moreover, our second package offers together with all the services of the basic one also a four tours to a nearby city/town with our guide. This year we are exploring Cortona, Castiglion del Lago, Perugia, and the Lake Islands of Trasimeno. Cooking classes will also be taught by our Roman-5 star chef Stefano Rutigliano. As La Dogana offers also bike ride, mountain bike, hike, and even go on a romantic carriage ride.

Our American certified Yoga teachers, tour guide, and La Dogana owner Lucia will be at your dispense with whatever you need during your stay. Moreover, the brilliant Chef Stefano will cuddle you with his delicious cuisine every night!

John has been working at La Dogana for about a year helping with our marketing, guided tours, and yoga retreats.  Before John was at La Dogana, he had already lived in Italy for over two years. John went to college in Rome for his entire junior year where he traveled across Italy hitting over 40 towns and cities. 

While in Rome, John met Lucia in a marketing class and they have stayed friends ever since.  In John’s second year in Italy, he got a job as a tour guide in Florence where he guided people around  Italy and other major cities across Europe such as Spain, France, Germany, Prague, Etc. John has always had a passion for traveling and loves sharing the experiences with the people he meets along his travels.

John was born and raised in Massachusetts on the peninsula of Cape Cod. He then went to college in Boston with a focus in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.  Besides travel, food, and wine, John is a die hard Boston sports fan and would love to talk about any sport besides futbol/soccer for once.
